The objective of the project is to identify, compute and analyze a reduced number of representative energy indicators for the energy chapter of the Spanish Observatory of Sustainability during 2007. In particular, the project will examine the primary and final energy consumption, the level of energy dependence, the energy and carbon emission intensity of the economy, both at national and regional levels. The analysis of the indicators must include aspects of evolution of consumption, most representative primary and final energy sources, measures for energy savings and conservation, an examination of time series of indicators and a global analysis of the Spanish energy sector. Whenever possible, a breakdown of the indicators will be made into Autonomous Communities.
